We, at Mitsui & Co., Principal Investments (MCPI), engage in the investment business, whereby we send our professionals with managerial leadership experience to our portfolio companies, in order to provide full-time hands-on support. Our professionals, together with the frontline staff at our portfolio companies, work hard to come up with solutions to contribute to the enhancement of our portfolio companies’ corporate value. While every company has different issues and business needs, a scarcity of frontline human resources is a common issue experienced by many organizations. Our full-time hands-on members make full use of Mitsui & Co. group’s expertise, networks, and unique functions to help our portfolio companies find solutions to their problems and maximize  their corporate value.

Because MCPI operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co. Ltd., our approach is also characterized by flexible investment styles. After in-depth discussions with management and/or owners, we are able to explore investment approaches based on the structure that best suits the specific needs and conditions of each company.
